Tendrils and Curls Haul

So for the longest I have been hearing about the new store that is a natural gals dream. I don't know the Houston area too good so I had no idea where the address was just by looking. Well I had been looking for some JBCO (Castor oil). I was told that they would have it. I was so happy because I did not want to pay the high shipping fees to get it offline.  It turns out that the store is not even 5 minutes from my job.

I got my JBCO plus more.

I purchased some Castor oil, Coconut oil, a Denman brush, and a Master Comb. I was a little shocked by the price of the Master Comb, but it so sturdy and is supposed to last a long time so it's OK.

I am excited about the things I purchased and I am soo glad I had the chance to visit Tendrils and Curls!!!!!

PINK HAPPY!!!!

It is 1:15 a.m. and I am just up thinking. I am truly at a place were I am happy and feeling blessed. My kids are great, work is great, and my marriage is the best it has ever been. Working on a healthier better me.

My daughter always ask me" Momma are you PINK happy"!!!

Today I can truly say I am.

Do you ever take the time to evaluate and appreciate your life?????

Influenster MOM Voxbox 2012

This post is long overdue but here it is.

Early last month I received the Mom Voxbox from Influenster. If you have not heard of them they are fantastic. They send out boxes of samples of products for you to test out and tell the world about.

This is my second box and I loved it..

This box included the following items:

1. Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookie

2. 1 bar of Ivory Soap

3. Stash Premium Superfruits Tea Sampler

4. DINO Learning Programs for kids

5. Nektar Honey Crystals Natural Sweetener

6. Impress Press on nails

7.Dentek Flossers for kids and adults!

All of these items were given to me for free by Influenster for me to review and spread the word!!

I am very particular about my soaps that I use so I let my husband use the Ivory soap. He loved the scent and he said "It makes me feel clean". He loved it and said he would use it again.

I drink tea and coffee at work so I was excited to try out the Stash Tea. My favorite was the Pomegranate Raspberry Green Tea. It was easy to use and taste so good. I used the Nektar Honey Crystals with it the first time and it was good. It didn't blow me away but it works!!

Of course if you read my review for my last Voxbox you know I love the Impress Press on Nails. Winner all the way!!!!

The flossers were great for the kids. The colors made flossing fun. My kids were excited about what was in the pack.


The only thing I have yet to try out is the Dino Learning Program. We just moved so I shall have the review for that soon.

New Journey for Me!!!

Good Morning Everyone

I hope you all had a great weekend. I certainly did. I just wanted to talk about what my family is doing right now. On February 20, 2012 I started my 1'st ever Beach Body Challenge (Hip Hop Abs). I switch out one meal a day with Shakeology and eat healthier food. The first week I lost 9 pounds and I am very excited about the program. I have a great coach Amber. I have a group of ladies who are in the challenge with me. They are wonderful and keep me motivated. So far I love everything about this challenge.

My husband is doing it with me also with the exception of the Shakeology. He has lost weight too.

Mommy and Daughter Time!!!

So last night the boys literally took over the T.V. from the time we walked in the house it was Spider man this or Iron Man that. My son is obsessed with super heroes these days.


Well Bra'Cayla and Mommy not so much. I can watch one episode, but not 3 or 4. lol
I decided to spend some quality time with Bra'Cayla. We cooked dinner together and while it finished we played in our makeup!!!

Super Girly Power!!!

Last night we made Vegetable Brown rice with Mushrooms and sauteed onions with Sausage!!! Bra'Cayla cut up the mushrooms (with a butter knife and the help of mommy)! She also prepared the pan for the sausage. She placed the foil in pan and then we put it in the oven.  For the rice she helped measure and put in the pot the frozen mixed vegetables.

Bra'Cayla really liked helping me out in the kitchen.

She kept telling her dad she cooked all night. Lol!

The second part of our special time we played in makeup. Just a girly thing we do sometimes.

Ladies spend quality time with your daughters and always tell them you love them!!!!!

Luscious Lips Take#1 NYC New York Color

Today I just wanted to take a few minutes of your time to tell you about a lip gloss that I had the privilege to review. As you know from my previous blog entries I received a VoxBox from Influenster this past December. One of the items that I received in the box was a lip gloss from NYC (New York Color)!!! I received the LIQUID Lipshine in Nude!!

This lip gloss or lipshine is great. It makes your lips look full and luscious with a wonderful glow! It goes and smooth and stays smooth. It does not feel pasty or sticky which most lip gloss do.

The applicator wand is different from most. To me it allows for full coverage of your lips.

The color I received was nude which goes great with my mocha skin tone!!! I look forward to trying their other colors.
